Case Study - Solar Schools
-
After a divisive fracking protest split the community, climate charity Possible wanted a striking film that showed the ‘solar powered village’ coming back together.
-
We pitched several creative ideas to the team, settling on filming a long exposure light painting event to show positive climate action.
The project lead said ‘That’s the best thing I’ve heard all week’. We hired a light artist and set kids loose with solar powered torches. -
The film got seen over 161,000 times on Faceook alone. It was reposted by viral video aggregator Upworthy, giving huge organic reach which directly contributed to their ambitious crowdfunding goals. The photos were extremely useful as social media assets, and longer film was repurposed for further viral short form videos.
Screening in Parliament
This climate and health film was commissioned by The Lancet medical Journal to go on YouTube. The film was selected for a special climate and health screening to MPs and ministers in Parliament.
“It stimulated good debate, and questions and was very well received.
We sent it to all MSPs by email, and it has been used in postgrad healthcare sessions.”
